European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR)

Jake will spend his fellowship year with the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) seeking accountability for victims of war crimes and other human rights violations through advocacy campaigns and litigation in German and international courts.

While in law school, Jake served as the Co-President of HLS Advocates for Human Rights, Harvard Law School’s human rights student practice organization. He spent five semesters in the International Human Rights Clinic, where he worked towards justice for Roma communities who suffered lead poisoning while living in UN-managed displacement camps. Jake also completed an internship at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR), one of three human rights tribunals worldwide, in San José, Costa Rica. Prior to law school, Jake worked as the Pedro Zamora Public Policy Fellow at AIDS United, where he advocated for people living with and affected by HIV in the United States. He holds a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from Tufts University. He is originally from Miami, Florida.
