15th Judicial District of Louisiana

Cass Luskin will work as an Assistant Defender in the District Defender for the 15th Judicial District of Louisiana via Gideon’s Promise, an organization that places public defenders in under-resourced offices and provides them with specialized training. Cass will handle felony cases and will help raise the standard of representation to the citizens of the 15th judicial district. Before coming to law school, Cass worked as an investigator at the Public Defender Service for Washington, D.C. He continued to pursue his passion for public defense in law school, where he joined the Harvard Defenders and was named “Defender of the Year” twice. He has interned at The Bronx Defenders, the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender, and the Federal Defender for the Middle District of Alabama. Cass has a B.A. with Honors in Government and Classics from the University of Texas at Austin.
