Julia has been awarded a fellowship to work at Conectas, an international human rights organization based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She will work on projects related to development policy and human rights, as well as Business and Human Rights. Julia has a degree in law from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she is also pursuing a second Master’s degree. She has worked at the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights, at the Business and Human Rights Research Center of Fundacao Getulio Vargas, and at local Brazilian NGOs. At Harvard, she was part of the Law and International Development Society, the Brazilian Studies Association, and the International Human Rights Clinic. She is committed to the pursuit of a development path that promotes economic growth and poverty alleviation without compromising human rights.
