Joseph’s professional and academic work focuses on negotiations, with an emphasis on peace negotiations. During law school, Joseph worked with the Public International Law & Policy Group’s Sudan peace negotiations team and the International Commission of Jurists’ ASEAN program, in addition to clinical placements through the Harvard Negotiation & Mediation Clinical Program and the International Human Rights Clinic. Prior to law school, Joseph taught in his hometown of Elmira, NY, and worked at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, focusing on issues related to voting rights and criminal justice.
