Joe Breen has been awarded the Sumner M. Redstone Fellowship to work at the New York Legal Assistance Group, where he will combat fraud and predatory lending in higher education with a focus on representing military veterans. While at Harvard Law, Joe was Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, a researcher for the Access to Justice Lab, and a clinical student in the Project on Predatory Student Lending. Joe is also a co-founder of Resistance School, an online learning platform for skills in organizing and activism. Prior to law school, Joe served as an Urban Fellow and Policy Advisor to the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Small Business Services. He has a B.A. in American Studies from Yale and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
