CPCS Innocence Program

Somerville, MA

Brian will spend his fellowship year at the CPCS Innocence Program working on post-conviction appeals and new trials for indigent people who were wrongfully convicted in Massachusetts. Brian is returning to CPCS after spending two summers in CPCS Public Defender Division Trial Unit offices advocating on behalf of criminal defendants in Massachusetts Superior and District Courts. Brian also spent time as a summer associate at Nutter, McClennen, & Fish LLP.

At HLS, Brian was a student attorney with both the Cyberlaw Clinic and Criminal Justice Institute. He served on the executive boards of the HLS Mock Trial Association and HLS Drama Society. At the end of his 1L year, Brian founded and began coaching an undergraduate mock trial program at the neighboring Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Brian holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Political Science from Tufts University.
