Aaron was awarded the Summer M. Redstone Fellowship in Public Service to work with Prairie State Legal Services. He will be serving as a staff attorney working in the full range of legal aid areas with a focus on low-income tax problems and Medicaid denials. As a law student, Aaron worked with the Volunteer Legal Services Program’s Employment Law Clinic, helping clients respond to issues of wrongful termination and wage theft; with Legal Services of Northern California, he helped struggling tenants address eviction and other landlord-tenant issues; in the Federal Income Tax Clinic, he represented low-income tax players in deficiency disputes with the IRS. Aaron spent a summer working in the Yolo County, California Public Defender’s Office, among other things helping felony convicts petition for judgment reductions. He also served on the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Journal and the UC Davis Journal of Juvenile Law & Policy. Aaron has a Master’s in Education and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Linguistics, both from the University of Illinois.
