Vern Countryman (1917-1999) served on the Harvard Law School faculty from 1963 to 1999. He was a Visiting Professor of Law 1963-1964; Professor of Law 1964-1973; Royall Professor of Law 1973-1987; and an Emeritus professor 1987-1999.

Research: Commercial transactions, secured credit, creditors’ rights, corporate reorganization, bankruptcy.
