Austin Wakeman Scott (1884-1981) served on the Harvard Law School faculty from 1909 to 1981. He was an Instructor in Pleading and Equity 1909-1910; Assistant Professor of Law 1910-1914; Professor of Law 1914-1918; Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law 1915-1916; Story Professor of Law 1919-1938; Dane Professor of Law 1938-1961; and an Emeritus professor 1961-1981.
