Abram J. Chayes (1922-2000) served on the Harvard Law School faculty from 1955 to 2000. He was an Assistant Professor of Law 1955-1958; Professor of Law 1958-1961 and 1965-1976; Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law 1976-1993; and an Emeritus professor 1993-2000.

Research: Civil procedure, international legal process, international responses to science and technology, international environmental law, international peacekeeping.
