Hugh Carlson is the Managing Director of Three Crowns, in which capacity he is responsible for the firm’s global operations. He practices in both international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, and has represented clients across a range of industries and under most major arbitral rules systems. He has been recognized in leading rankings and directories.
Hugh frequently presents at conferences and seminars on topics in both international arbitration and technology. He is a member of the ICCA/IBA Joint Task Force on Data Protection in International Arbitration Proceedings and the CPR Cybersecurity Task Force. He is co-director of the International Arbitration Workshop at Harvard Law School and an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law, where he teaches the course Advocacy in International Arbitration.
Prior to joining Three Crowns, Hugh practiced international arbitration in the Washington, DC office of a major international law firm.
