  • When does the on-campus mail run occur?

    The internal HLS mail runs occur between 9am and 1pm, Monday through Friday.

    Packages and mail received after your buildings mail run has occurred will be delivered the next business day.

  • When is the outgoing mail picked up by USPS, Fedex, UPS?

    Outgoing mail and packages are picked up around 4pm.  Any packages or mail that is received after 4pm will be sent out the following day.

  • Can I ship out prepaid items?

    Yes, prepaid shipments can be left in the outgoing mail slot in your department or brought down to the HLS mailroom (WCC B084).  Once received, the shipment will be transferred to the appropriate carrier.

  • What happens when you cannot deliver a package or mail?

    Packages and mail that are unable to be delivered to locked offices are returned to the HLS mailroom (B084).  A “You Have Mail!” sticker will be left on the office door to indicate that an attempted delivery was made.  Another attempt will be made on the next business day.

    Undelivered packages and mail are always available for pickup from the mailroom during regular business hours (8am to 5pm, M-F).

  • How long does interoffice mail take?

    Interoffice mail within HLS takes 1 business day between pickup and delivery *(as long as both offices are open).

    Interoffice mail within Harvard takes 3-5 business days depending on HUMS delivery schedule.

  • It has been a few days and I have not received my package and I did not receive an email from the mailroom

    Please send an email to hlsmail@law.harvard.edu with the recipient’s name, the address used for shipping, and the tracking number.  We will look into if this package was received and if not, recommend the best steps forward.
