Please join us for a talk by Rafael Mariano Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In 1953, U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his now-famous “Atoms for Peace” speech at the United Nations. Looking back at the past 70 years and laying out the major global challenges and solutions of today, Director General Grossi will examine the extent to which that bold vision — to limit the proliferation of nuclear weapons while extending access to life-affirming applications of nuclear science and technology — has been realized, and if it hasn’t, ask “What will it take?”
