This event will explore the modern landscape of Palestinian advocacy across American and Canadian institutions, delving into how the “Palestine exception” for free speech works in practice to censor and sanction pro-Palestine speech. Attendees will hear from Dr. Yipeng Ge and Ryan Workman, two professionals who continue to advocate for Palestine despite facing severe attempts to silence them, Rabea Eghbariah, a Palestinian lawyer and academic whose seminal paper on the Nakba as a legal framework was cut from publication in the Harvard Law Review, and Fatema Ahmed, a Boston-based organizer with the Muslim Justice League.

A Zoom link for virtual attendees will be sent to registrants.

Please note food will be served at 7pm and the event will start at 7:30.
