WCC 4059

The next session of the Byse Workshop (the last one before spring break!) will take place on Thursday, March 7, at 3:45-5:15 PM, in Wasserstein Hall (WCC), Room 4059. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
In this session, we will discuss the role that defense attorneys and progressive prosecutors (elected district attorneys hoping to make the criminal justice system more just and fair from “within”) play in fighting—or legitimizing—injustice within our criminal justice system. We will explore whether we can imagine them as part of the abolitionist project and movement, and whether we find this desirable. Please refer to this link for the workshop’s syllabus and reading materials.
This non-credit workshop is open to all members of the Harvard community, without any required registration. Attending all sessions is encouraged but not mandatory. No prior knowledge is required.
