How has the expansion of global markets impacted the realization and protection of human rights worldwide? How to reckon with the simultaneous institutionalization of human rights and neoliberalism in global governance? What challenges and obstacles exist in ensuring accountability for human rights violations perpetrated by economic actors, including issues related to corporate accountability and access to justice for affected communities? Please join the S.J.D. Students Association and the Human Rights Program @ HLS for a discussion about the role of human rights in the making of our current global economy and their potential for ensuring economic justice and redistribution. Lunch will be provided.
