The Semester Abroad Program offers Harvard Law School J.D. students the opportunity to study law and live in a foreign country while receiving a semester of ungraded credit towards their degree. HLS students may apply for designated spots for a semester’s study at one of the 10 foreign law schools with which HLS has an exchange agreement, or create an “independent” semester at any foreign law school that meets the study abroad program’s requirements.
Come meet with ILS staff and students who have recently studied abroad, about choosing a foreign school, the application process, or any other questions.
Applications to spend the fall 2024 semester studying abroad are due to International Legal Studies by Thursday, February 15.
