Professor Amy J. Schmitz, John Deaver Drinko-Baker & Hostetler Chair in Law and Co-director of Translational Data Analytics Institute Responsible Data Science CoP at Moritz College of Law, Ohio State University, will will share insights from her book, The Arbitration Conversation, which features interviews with over 120 dispute resolution experts. The book highlights the evolution of arbitration in the digital age, examines online arbitration (OArb) as a cost-effective alternative, and discusses the roles of AI, the metaverse, and blockchain in arbitration.
Additionally, she will discuss the JusticeTech Program and Capstone Practicum at the Ohio State Moritz College of Law, which aims to bridge the gap between law and technology to improve access to justice. In partnership with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and community organizations, the program empowers students to create legal technologies that address community needs and promote ethical AI use.
