Amid the Biden Administration’s revival of antitrust enforcement, private equity firms became the object of heightened scrutiny. Brendan Ballou, former special counsel at the Antitrust Division and author of the book Plunder: Private Equity’s Plan to Pillage America, will discuss private equity’s activity across the American economy, what problems it poses for antitrust enforcement, and the outlook for antitrust enforcement with regard to private equity firms going forward. Lunch will be served.
