Please join our panel of HLS alumni who will speak about their own journey from practicing at a law firm to a public interest career. Of varied backgrounds, our alums will share what they did to successfully make the transition and what they experienced along the way. They will offer invaluable tips on how best to use your time in law school and early in your career to ensure that if you choose, you can achieve the same success!

Panelists include:

Lakendra Barajas ’15 – Senior Associate Attorney at Earthjustice

Ana Lise Feliciano Hansen ’13 – Senior Staff Attorney at Mobilization for Justice, Inc.

Amish Shah ’15 – Associate Counsel in the White House Counsel’s Office

Melissa Shube ’15 – Litigation Counsel at the Lawyering Project

Panelists will be participating virtually. Students are welcome to attend in-person or through Zoom. Those seeking to attend virtually can register here.

Lunch provided.

Audience: Open to all students. This event is geared primarily to 2Ls and 3Ls who might want to think about a career transition early in their career, and to curious 1Ls who want to know what a private to public transition might look like.
