Please join the WLA Public Interest Committee for a panel discussion on transitioning positions after your first PI job – whether that be a fellowship, clerkship, or permanent position. We will hear from Annie Kurtz, ‘17, at the ACLU of Colorado, Liz Gyori, ‘19, at the ACLU Speech, Privacy, and Tech Project, Maya Ragsdale, ‘18, founder and executive director of Beyond the Bars, and Jianing Xie, ‘19, at the Federal Community Defender Office of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Between them, these panelists have experience with clerking, job hunting after Justice Catalyst, Skadden, EJW, and PSVF fellowships, working as public defenders, and founding a nonprofit. Panelists will candidly speak about their career paths, providing insight into their processes as they transitioned between time-limited and permanent positions and across different public interest fields.
This event is open to all HLS students. Attendees can join via zoom or in person; food will be provided to in-person attendees. Please RSVP here for food or zoom info.
