The Harvard Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild will be hosting a training of new Legal Observers, facilitated by members of the NLG Mass Defense Committee. Trained LOs are empowered to attend protests and other activist events as objective, third-party representatives of the NLG. LOs can be instrumental in safeguarding the civil rights of activists. The NLG is a progressive organization, and its LO program is “objective but not neutral.”
