This interdisciplinary course is open to students at Harvard Law School and all Harvard graduate schools, with enrollment capped at 16 participants. Students will take required pre-travel coursework, travel to the region during the J-Term (January 3-17th, 2023) and return for a semester-long course, “Learning in Context: Narratives of Displacement and Belonging in Israel/Palestine (HDS 3335). There is required pre-travel coursework in the fall. This course is required to be eligible for paid summer 2023 internships in the region.
The course is especially salient for current or aspiring government officials, legal scholars, humanitarian aid workers, human rights, journalists, educators, public health officials and/or environmental advocates, artists, and design planners who are eager to think in fresh ways about seemingly intractable challenges in an interdisciplinary context.
