The lunch talk will take place between 3:15PM – 4:30PM on Tuesday, October 28th in WCC 3016. Please RSVP by 11:59pm on Monday, October 27th.

Attorney General William Tong serves as Connecticut’s 25th Attorney General and was elected in 2018 as the state’s first Asian American to hold statewide office. A national leader in multistate litigation and consumer protection, Tong led 49 states and territories in securing a landmark $7.4 billion settlement with Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family — ending years of litigation, permanently barring the Sacklers from the opioid business, and forcing disclosure of over 30 million internal documents. He also helped negotiate a $26 billion nationwide settlement with Cardinal Health, McKesson, AmerisourceBergen, and Johnson & Johnson. Beyond the opioid crisis, Tong has advanced an aggressive agenda to protect consumers, defend civil rights, and hold corporations accountable.Prior to his election as Attorney General, Tong served six terms in the Connecticut House of Representatives, where he chaired the Judiciary Committee and authored major reforms on gun safety, criminal justice, and domestic violence.

AG Tong is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Chicago Law School, where his constitutional law professor was none other than Barack Obama.
