Immigration Policy Under the Biden and Trump Administrations

Join the Harvard Immigration Project for a lunch talk with Professor Lucas Guttentag. We will be discussing his career path and immigration policy during the Biden and Trump administrations.

Professor Lucas Guttentag is on the faculty of Stanford Law School. Previously, he founded the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project (IRP) and led it for twenty-five years arguing major cases throughout the country, including in the Supreme Court.  Since July 2021, he has served in the Biden Administration Department of Justice as Senior Counselor for Immigration Policy to the Deputy Attorney General. During the Trump administration, he created the Immigration Policy Tracking Project, a dynamic website that catalogues every Trump-era immigration action and continually reports on its current status.
