[HALB] Sit-down Lunch: Roy Parrish on Legal Technology and Being a Lawyer-Founder in LatAm

Join HALB for a small group lunch with Roy Parrish in Harvard Square.
Roy developed an innovative legal platform called Jurismo that enabled the drafting and signing of contracts, prenups, and legal documents. His journey towards developing this platform involved multiple iterations ranging from a chatbot on Facebook to capture user data, to a website filled with contract templates that enabled the modular transformation of legal documents, and eventually to a combination of both. Through these experiences, Roy has gained valuable insights into the nuances of legal tech in Latin America and the challenges that arise due to the bureaucracy and rigidness of the legal system.
A discussion of Roy´s experience will equip students with the tools to deploy their own products and services in the region more effectively, taking into account the social and cultural context of the Latin American market. Roy’s perspective as a Latin American lawyer and entrepreneur will be particularly valuable to students interested in legal tech and the Latin American market due to the region’s exciting and growing business opportunities.
