Film Screening to Honor Trans Day of Remembrance

Come join Lambda and the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation (CHLPI) to observe Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR). We will be screening the documentary “Kokomo City” by D. Smith, which uses interviews to provide a small snapshot into the lives of several Black trans women who are sex workers. Prior to the screening we will have a brief discussion of the local roots of TDOR, the gender-affirming care work being litigated by CHLPI, and the opportunity to hear from Ryan Rasdall, an associate at Mintz, about his pro bono work with Folx Health, a queer and trans affirming health care program. Snacks will be provided. Screening and discussion will be from 6-8pm on Monday, November 20th.
