Elizabeth Forsyth, a Senior Attorney in Earthjustice’s Biodiversity Defense Program and Harvard Law School alumna, will discuss the various protections the Endangered Species Act provides for wildlife across the country and why this law will remain vital to protecting threatened and endangered species from extinction.

Elizabeth will discuss her work to ensure Endangered Species Act protection for species such as the Florida manatee, Pacific fisher, California spotted owl, and Mexican wolf; protecting habitat from destruction from mining, including in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota and the Cabinet-Yaak region of Montana; and working to prevent harm to salmon from the toxic tire additive 6PPD.

The talk will be moderated by Shashank Vura ’24 and free lunch will be provided.
