Join the Environmental Law Society and EELP for a timely discussion with Professor Ann Carlson on the remarkable transformation of air quality in Los Angeles.
Once infamous for some of the worst smog in the nation, L.A. now breathes significantly cleaner air than it did decades ago—but the story of how we got here is about much more than changing skies. Professor Carlson will explore the key legal, regulatory, technological, and community-driven efforts that made this progress possible, assess the challenges that remain, and draw lessons from the L.A. experience about what it can teach us in the fight against climate change. Lunch will be provided.
