Dinner & Movie: “Argentina, 1985” Screening

FiLM Society & La Alianza are hosting two events centered on the Oscars-nominated “Argentina, 1985”, a historical legal drama about a team of courageous lawyers taking on the heads of Argentina’s bloody military dictatorship.
Screening of “Argentina, 1985” will take place in the Student Orgs Room on March 6th, at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided. Subsequently, a Lunch Talk centered on the legal case depicted in the film will happen (time and location are TBD: likely during the lunch hour on March 23rd or March 24th). Prospective speakers for the lunch talk include Luis Gabriel Moreno Ocampo, the prosecutor in the 1985 trial of the military junta government & Judge Ricardo Gil Lavedra, the judge presiding over the case.
