Join SALSA in welcoming legal journalist Manoj Mitta as he discusses his new book “Caste Pride: Battles for Equality in Hindu India.” The book draws upon archives covering two centuries, to provide unique insights on the role of social elites, judges, legislators and lawyers in informing caste dynamics in India, and the mechanisms caste elites have used to retain influence over structures of power and privilege.
