Join NSLA for a lunch talk with Carter Burwell and Ezra Cohen, two of the nine appointed members of the Public Interest Declassification Board (PIDB). The PIDB is an advisory committee established by Congress to promote public access to documents pertaining to national security activities by advising the President of the United States regarding national classification and declassification policy issues. Jim Baker, Lecturer on Law, will provide an opening discussion on the U.S. classification system, followed by an in-depth look at major problems in the classification system, PIDB efforts to promote public access, and current legislative action. Lunch will be provided.
