Stephen Lam is General Counsel of SoftBank Group International. Stephen leads a global legal team comprised of over forty professionals based in Asia, the Americas, and Europe and works closely with SoftBank’s senior leadership, investment, and functional teams to structure, negotiate and execute strategic investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic initiatives across SoftBank Group, including through SoftBank’s Vision Funds.

Before joining SoftBank, Stephen practiced law at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He graduated from Harvard Law School and Georgetown University and speaks Chinese, Japanese and Arabic.
