S tephen Lam is General Counsel of SoftBank Group International. Stephen lead s a global legal team comprised of over forty professionals based in Asia\, the Americas\, and Europe and works closely with SoftBank’s senior leaders hip\, investment\, and functional teams to structure\, negotiate and execut e strategic investments\, mergers and acquisitions\, joint ventures and oth er strategic initiatives across SoftBank Group\, including through SoftBank ’s Vision Funds.
Before joining SoftBank\, Stephen practiced law at S ullivan & Cromwell in New York and Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco\, f ocusing on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He gr aduated from Harvard Law School and Georgetown University and speaks Chines e\, Japanese and Arabic.
