Mukang Cho founded Morning Calm Management and is the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Principal. He has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s development since inception and is responsible for strategic planning, operations and all acquisition, disposition and other capital markets activities. Prior to founding Morning Calm Management, Mukang was a Managing Principal in charge of real estate strategy at Crown Capital Management and its affiliates, and a partner in the real estate practice group of Kirkland & Ellis. He began his career as a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York and then served as a principal of Trifecta, a distress focused middle market investment firm. In his capacities as principal and advisor, Mukang has successfully completed hundreds of transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $100 billion.

Morning Calm Management is an investment and management firm with a focus on special situations and commercial real estate credit. The firm owns approximately 13 million square feet of commercial real estate on behalf of institutional and private capital and manages a series of investment strategies across the real estate capital structure.

Mukang is a member of The Real Estate Roundtable and Vice Chairman of the Medical Peace Foundation, a non-profit organization started by his late father which develops free medical centers around the world. Mukang graduated with a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. From Cornell University (with distinction).
