Brandon Lin is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of SMA Capital Q+ Technology hedge fund. He has a strong track record for sourcing, evaluating, executing, managing and exiting numerous profitable public and private equity investments. He previously worked as an Associate in Sullivan & Cromwell’s Los Angeles and Hong Kong offices, as a Vice President in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, as General Partner and General Counsel in SAIF Partner’s Hong Kong and Beijing offices (a large Asian private equity and venture capital fund) and as Founder and Chief Investment Officer of SPQ Asia Capital hedge fund in Hong Kong. He also served as Board director of a dozen public and private companies.

Brandon earned a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, and a B.A., with distinction, in economics from Stanford University. He is a Member of the Council of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the supreme governing body of the University. He is a core Council Member and Investment Committee Head of the Central Union Church of Honolulu. He is currently teaching an Introduction to Business Law class at the University of Hawaii Shidler business school.
