Brandon Lin is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of SMA Capita l Q+ Technology hedge fund. He has a strong track record for sourcing\, eva luating\, executing\, managing and exiting numerous profitable public and p rivate equity investments. He previously worked as an Associate in Sullivan & Cromwell’s Los Angeles and Hong Kong offices\, as a Vice President in in vestment banking at Donaldson\, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First B oston in New York\, as General Partner and General Counsel in SAIF Partner’ s Hong Kong and Beijing offices (a large Asian private equity and venture c apital fund) and as Founder and Chief Investment Officer of SPQ Asia Capita l hedge fund in Hong Kong. He also served as Board director of a dozen publ ic and private companies.
Brandon earned a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School\, and a B.A.\, with distinction\, in economic s from Stanford University. He is a Member of the Council of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology\, the supreme governing body of the Un iversity. He is a core Council Member and Investment Committee Head of the Central Union Church of Honolulu.
