Harvard Law School Library Historical & Special Collections Class Day Pop-Up Exhibit
On Class Day, May 27, from 12pm to 2pm, the Harvard Law School Library will host a Historical & Special Collections Pop-Up Exhibit featuring an early manuscript Magna Carta, a deposition given by Wyatt Earp, HLS Admissions photos of current and former faculty, and Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.’s personal copy of The Common Law. The event will be held in Langdell Hall in the Root Room on the 4th floor. All are welcome.
Commencement Day
May 28, 2026
Commencement Day is comprised of the University Morning Exercises, where the Harvard President and the University Commencement Speaker deliver their addresses, and the President confers degrees. The Law School Diploma Ceremony follows, where the Law School Dean presents diplomas to each graduate.
Guest Lunch Ordering Has Been Extended
HLS Commencement guests may pre-purchase a boxed lunch, which will be distributed at the afternoon Diploma Ceremony on the HLS campus. Graduates do not need to pre-purchase lunch. Graduates are provided with one (1) complimentary lunch ticket.
The original deadline to pre-purchased Guest Box Lunches through Eventbrite was May 18 at 11:59pm ET. A limited number of additional tickets have been made available. Ticket sales will close when all tickets have been purchased or at 11:59pm ET on May 27.
Your graduate will receive a physical copy of your lunch ticket(s) when they pick up their Commencement tickets in mid-May. You will need to present this physical ticket in order to pick up your lunch, so please be sure to get your ticket(s) from your graduate!
Harkness Dining in the Caspersen Student Center will be open to graduates and guests on Class Day and Commencement Day from 7:30am – 2:30pm.
Guests are also welcome to bring their own lunches to the ceremony.
