A Virtual Private Network (VPN) creates a secure connection between devices and University resources by creating an “encrypted tunnel” for the data communication. Many HLS and University resources require a VPN connection when the device is not connected via the HLS wired network.
Faculty, Staff, and Students
- Permits secure access to certain University resources when connecting from off-campus or via the wireless network (Financial applications, network drives, HLS networked printers, etc.)
- The client software is updated automatically
A wired or wireless internet connection is required to login to VPN.
Beginning September 28, 2016 Two-Step Verification will be required to login to VPN.
