ITS provides network space where all faculty and staff can store HLS related files.

Faculty, Staff, and Clinical Students

Standard Features

  • Personal Network Storage (OneDrive) – accessible only by the user
  • Department shared drive (R:) – accessible by anyone in the department that has been granted access to the drive
  • Faculty shared drive (S:) – accessible by the faculty member and their faculty assistant
  • M: drive – secure way to share high risk information with other departments at HLS
  • Network data is backed up daily
  • Network data is accessible remotely via VPN and Virtual Desktop

User Requirements

  • User must know their HLS Computer account username and password to access the network drives
  • Drives must be mapped on the computer you are accessing the data from

Get this service

All faculty and staff are automatically given OneDrive and faculty are automatically given an S: drive.  Department managers should contact the ITS Service Desk to grant access to department shared drives.

Legal/Regulatory Compliance

In order to comply with the Massachusetts data privacy law, high-risk information should be stored and shared on HLS’s secured network (M: drive).
