Contract law governs enforceable promises. Topics include contract formation, consideration, unenforceability, interpretation, excuse from performance, third parties, and remedies. Both common law and the UCC will be covered, in areas ranging from a soft drink advertisement on television to a family agreement about surrogacy to a real estate contract for a national restaurant chain.
