Exam Type: In Class

This course examines the procedures that courts follow in civil actions, with a focus on federal courts. Topics include personal and subject matter jurisdiction, pleading, motions practice, joinder of parties and claims, discovery, the Erie doctrine, post-trial procedure and preclusion.
