Abstract: The article focuses on political dysfunction in the U.S. and discusses U.S. constitutional law. Topics include constitutional interpretation and construction, legitimization by constitution, and the role of the U.S. Supreme Court in constitutional application. Information is provided on counterconstitutionalism, a term used by the author to discusses the rejection of constitutional rules.
