Abstract: In this article the author discusses the political and judicial positions adopted by Barack Obama, the Democratic Party candidate for the 2008 presidential nomination. He states that while Obama is widely perceived to be a visionary with a radical agenda, he is, according to the author, a consensus builder who believes in political stability and approaches the formation of public policy with caution.
