Abstract: The article reports on the status of U.S. soldiers in Iraq and whether or not they will leave the country. The responsibilities of public office are covered and provided as an explanation for why troops cannot leave, despite public opinion polls. The Bush administration is not ready to leave yet, but not clearly stating any plan either. Struggles among the Iraqi religious communities and the Democratic party are also covered.
