Abstract: Do the gendered phenomena highlighted in the preceding article by Professor Lobel amount to discrimination? In this Commentary, I argue that although these phenomena may well contribute to social inequality and deserve attention as such, on the whole, they do not constitute discrimination as it is ordinarily understood.
