Abstract: This is my keynote address for the opening session of a three-day conference in Israel on the "20th Anniversary of Israel's Human Rights Revolution." The opening session was held at the Knesset, Jerusalem, and was introduced by the Speaker of the Knesset. (Sessions on the following days were held at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and the Interdisciplinary Center, Hertzliya.)
