Decades before receiving the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for, as the Nobel Committee described, “her efforts to promote peace and international law,” Navanethem “Navi” Pillay studied at Harvard Law School during the 1980s, earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 1982 and a Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) in 1988.
