Kevin B. Moody will join Harvard Law School as the new Assistant Dean and Chief Human Resources Officer on October 19, announced Francis X. McCrossan, HLS Dean for Administration.

Moody is coming to HLS from Emory University School of Law, where he has served as the Senior Director of Administration and Chief Human Resources Officer since 2007. Prior to that, he held a variety of HR positions at Emory, including Employee Relations & Organizational Development Manager and Divisional Human Resources Manager.

“Kevin brings tremendous and deep experiences, from air traffic control operations work in the military to law school administration,” said Martha Minow, Harvard Law School Dean. “He will be an invaluable resource for our faculty and staff, with a gift for building respectful and warm relationships that will enrich us all.”

Before embarking on his career in Human Resources, Moody served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Captain and Air Traffic Control Operations Officer.  He holds an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Brenau University. He earned his BA in Psychology at Emory.
