On Friday, Jan. 10, Ken Starr, a partner at the firm of Kirkland and Ellis, will discuss his latest book, “First Among Equals: The Supreme Court in American Life.” Starr’s speech will begin at 4 p.m. in the Langdell South classroom.

Starr, a former U.S. solicitor general and U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judge, served as the independent counsel in the Whitewater investigation from 1994 to 1999. His book examines the role of the Supreme Court in American life by examining important decisions made over the past 30 years.

This event is free and open to the public. For those unable to attend, the event will be webcast live. This event is cosponsored by the Saturday School Program at Harvard Law School and the Harvard Law School Federalist Society.
